The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL) invites the public to attend the US Senate Coastal Issues Forum at the LSU Union Theater in Baton Rouge Thursday, October 6, 2016 beginning at 6:00pm. There is no cost to attend this event.
Land loss is affecting the entire coast of Louisiana. There are many natural and man-made causes for this loss. In order to find and implement solutions for a sustainable, working coast, it is imperative that our elected officials at every level—local, state, and federal—take action based on the best available science.
This event—the first based solely on coastal issues—will feature 5 candidates:
The top six candidates, determined by averaging four statewide polls published before August 31, 2016, were invited to the forum. Only one candidate, State Treasurer John Kennedy (R), declined the invitation.
CRCL will also stream the forum on their website (crcl.org). For those unable to attend in person or watch online, several tv and radio stations will rebroadcast the event at later dates.
Show our Senate candidates your support for coastal restoration in Louisiana and attend the Coastal Issues Forum on October 6.
Tickets not required. Doors open at 5:00 pm.
