- 3 years of reauthorization with no changes (new expiration date: September 30, 2018)
- $450M in appropriations for FY16
The Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) has been been included in the Omnibus spending bill that is expected to be authorized by Congress this week. This would mean an additional three years with no changes to LWCF. The 50% increase in funding over last year’s enacted level means that many critical projects will move forward this year. Thanks to all who expressed their support for LWCF. Permanent authorization is the ultimate goal but this keeps the program in place and working for conservation and recreation.
